Warm with no chance of rain!

Today was a great day to play outside. It was actually more on the hot side rather than the warm. A tiny bit humid but nothing like it has been in recent weeks. Alex was feeling better, and all the homework was done. I let the girls play outside on the trampoline with a sprinkler turned on under it. We should have done this all summer long. This was way easier to get up and ready compared to the swimming pool. They must have stayed out there for a good 2 1/2 hours.

You can't really tell in the picture (the above picture), but Alex's hands are making the I love you sign in sign language. She often gets that sign mixed up with the rock and roll hand gesture they make on Guitar Hero. It was fun to watch them play their air guitars and sing Born In The U.S.A.!

Our old dog Angus, (we've had him for 15 years, how old is that in dog years? We got him a few months after we got Bonzo cat my Freshman year) doesn't like water at all. He use to go down to the river with us and play in the water and after a long run behind the four wheeler he would lay in puddles of water. Now he runs when he hears the hose. When we give him a bath he looks so sad like we're killing him with water. Since the girls had the sprinkler on, he was all the way on the other side of the yard hiding out in his dog house. I only got him out because I bribed him with a tennis ball.

Here's a little video of the kids having fun. Not the best quality but priceless none the less!

Roxanne, your girls are very good at entertaining themselves! I love it! They look adorable. I absolutely LOVED your post about how different your girls are. It is so true. My Alex is just like your Alex and Aiden is just like Sydney. I wonder who Aaron will take after???! It was such a great post...one that your girls are going to love to read when they are older and can see how different their personalities are too!

What a great idea to put the sprinkler under the trampoline! I'd love to have some kind of convenient water feature for our kids... might have to think on that for a while. :)
