Easter Primary Activity

Last Saturday we had our Easter Primary Activity Day. We had a great turn out. I think just about every kid in primary was there! We walked in just as they were getting started so we had to hurry and make our name tags and sit down.
They explained what we would be doing, then it was off to our centers. Sydney and Alex got to go to the coloring center first. We color all the time at home so you think they would be sick of coloring. I think they stayed the longest at this center!
They thought there was going to be a coloring contest so they tried very hard to do their very best. Turns out there wasn't a coloring contest. Their pictures were so good they earned a spot on the fridge at home. Good job girls!
Then it was off to dye Easter eggs. We hardly ever dye Easter eggs at home so this was a treat for the girls. Between school Easter eggs, the Bisbee Egg Hunt eggs, and relatives eggs, we have no need to dye our own. Plus Mom has a little dye phobia so.......
After we dyed an egg or two it was time to decorate our baskets. The girls went a little sticker crazy.
For some reason I keep finding stickers of Easter eggs and little lambs on everything. From cups to doorknobs, I think we've got Easter covered!
Then it was time to fill our baskets with yummy candy and goodies, not to mention Easter grass. I have a disliking for Easter grass so soon after we got home it was in the trash can!
After that it was time to go outside and hunt our eggs! Each kid was allowed to find two, with a few extras hidden for those who had really good eyes!
Both girls found their eggs pretty fast, then helped some of the younger kids find some too.
Have you ever been to an Easter egg hunt where everyone is looking UP for eggs?
There were two hidden eggs in this tree, but we could only find one. Way to go Easter Bunny!
Then we moved inside where the kids read the Easter story from slips of paper in Easter eggs. Each slip of paper came along with a little visual of that scripture.
Then it was lunch time. Our favorite part was eating our boiled eggs, YUM! It was a great day, a very fun activity, and the girls still remember the story of Easter because of the great visuals. I was very impressed with the turn out. The girls had a lot of fun and are looking forward to the next activity day!
