What can make 2 days off fly by? Texturing our wall, another trip to Home Depot, cleaning house, doing ALL the laundry, and visiting with parents. That can make 2 days off seem so short, before we knew it, it was time for Clay to go back to work (and no more summer school for us so we got to sleep in)!
The girls have been so good throughout this remodel project of ours. They always keep themselves busy and try very hard not to bother mom and dad while we work. After a couple of hours of silence, we decided that we needed to check on the kids. We had a sheet hanging across the doorway from the kitchen to the living room to help keep the dust in one area of the house. They were just on the other side of the sheet, so it wasn't like we couldn't hear them or see them pass through for a drink or a snack from time to time. I didn't want you all to think I really do deserve the bad mom award!:) This is what they were doing to keep themselves busy.

And the award goes to.....
Yes folks, those are my children playing in the street. I hardly ever let the kids play out front because we live right off a highway and we have no front fence. When everyone else is doing it why not my kids too! The next door neighbor girl and a few other kids from the neighborhood were all out front on their bikes.
"Go play in the street kids!" They thought I had totally lost my mind. "What did you say mom?" They didn't come back inside until 8PM. They had so much fun!! Now every evening since they have been playing in the road (carefully of course, and always watching for cars).
So, I wonder if I would get the bad mom award or the cool mom award. I use to play in the street all the time growing up. It's sad times have changed so much. Now my yard gets watered, the kids have some freedom and some fun, and their mom is always watching whether they know it or not!

Today it was back to school and work for us. We were all very busy bee's these last couple of weeks. We got the back bathroom demolition done, new plumbing and electrical put in (thanks Dad!), Sheetrock up in the kitchen, managed to go to the theatre with the kids and watch Night at the Museum 2, swim, celebrate Father's Day, walk the dog, and spend tons of time together as a family. Wow, are we beat! I'll be posting pictures of everything here soon. The kitchen and bathroom were quite the undertaking but in the end I hope it is worth all the dust and dirt and hard work! It was nice to return to work, I finally get to rest. Hope everyone had a great Father's Day and I look forward to catching up with everyone soon!P.S. Cali better watch out cause here we come!!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!
My husband loves his girls! I'm not sure I'll be able to say that when they're teenagers, but for right now it's the truth. What an awesome father he is. He does so much with the girls. They learn so much from him. Every night when he gets home from work he is greeted by 3 girls all wanting his attention. What more could a guy ask for (he would probably like some peace and quiet after a long day of work, but no such luck in our home!)
So I saw these questions on my cousins blog and decided to ask them to my kids (Thanks Emily!) Sydney answered some.....
and Alex answered some. It was funny to hear some of their answers. Kids are awesome!
1. What is the funnest thing you do with your Dad?Alex: Swim
Sydney: go to the bookstore
Sydney: that we clean up.
Alex: to see his girls
Alex: working on the computer
Sydney:building stuff
Sydney: 6 feet...... I think
Alex: 11
Alex: 31
Sydney: I do not know......35......wait, 39
Sydney: Ummmm, cars?
Alex: monster trucks
(Clay is NOT going to be happy that I posted this picture, I personally think it's a very good picture and it shows what an awesome Dad he is! Maybe he won't look at our blog anytime soon so..... Ssshhhhh)
7. What is your dad's favorite thing to do?
Alex: watch t.v.
Sydney: play with us
8. What is your dad's favorite food?
Sydney: Ramen or a salad
Alex: Burger King
9. Where is your dad's favorite place to go?
Alex: to his work
Sydney: Golden Corral
10. What does your dad like best about your mom?
Sydney: doing dishes with her
Alex: that she cleans the house
Like I said.. Kids are awesome. My kids think their dad can do anything. They like to hear him speak Spanish. When he goes outside he is always followed by two little girls. They like making his bed, jumping on his bed, scratching his back, getting tickled by him. They love their dad.
To the greatest Dad ever, we wish you a Happy Father's Day! We love you very, Very, VERY much!

I Just wanted to let everyone (well all two of you who read this!) know that we're all still here. It's been awhile since I last posted. Clay took two weeks off, so we've been busy little bees. I have plenty of pictures and exciting adventures to report. I'll post them soon, but I wouldn't hold your breath on that! Summer school has been such a blessing. What a fun time we have had with everyone there. Next week is the last week of summer school. I'm glad it's coming to an end but it sure was fun while it lasted! Happy Father's Day to all the great Dad's out there, hope you have a nice and relaxing day. Check back soon for lots of fun Dozier updates!

Tsunami Night at The Cove!
Last night was the first Tsunami Night of the summer. Talk about fun!! It started at 7PM. We got there at 6PM and the line to get in was already starting. I can't believe how many people were there way before it was supposed to open. We had fun chatting and hanging out with all the other people in line.
Once the doors opened it was FREE PIZZA AND SODA...........ALL NIGHT!!! The kids ate one piece of pizza and then wanted in the water. They only got out of the water once, and that was for a potty break.
Nana came with us. What a blast we had! Between the water slides, the waves, the warm pool, the beach area, and the music.....we had one rockin good time!
The kids loved the beach area for younger kids as much as they liked the big pool and all the waves. This was a nice rest from the deep pool and all the inner tubes and waves.
There was so much there to keep the girls busy. I had to drag them out of the water at 10 o'clock so we could go home. They did sleep very well after all that playing and swimming.
Not the best picture but this was them right after they came off the water slide. One slide was lit up with lights, the other slide was pitch black. Alex surprised me by loving the darker slide. Sydney went on the slide once and was hooked! The dance contest, the cannonball contest, riding waves, the DJ and his music, the food, the fun!! This is what all summer Friday nights should be like!

Summer School
I was so worried my kids would hate summer school and I would get the Meanest Mom award for making them go with me. After two days, I am no longer worried. They love going to summer school.
Sydney was so worried that none of her friends would be there. Actually there are quite a few kids that go to summer school just because their parents work there. This is the case with one of Sydney's very best friends. Her mom works in the office at the campus where summer school is held so she GETS to come too! Sydney was so excited when she saw her. There are a few other kids from her 2nd grade class that attended as well. She is so excited at the end of school to tell me all the things they did that day. I know it's only day two, but man am I glad I took this summer job. I peeked in on Sydney a few times yesterday and every time I did she was working hard and looked like she was having fun. What a relief.
I was also a little worried about how Alex would do. She's still a bit of a Mommy's girl, and having me right next door in another classroom, I thought for sure she was going to have a hard time. Surprise surprise, she also loves school! Alex has at least two kids in her class that were also in her kindergarten class, she also has the same teacher for summer school as she did for kindergarten. She loves school! No tears, no gnashing of teeth, no wailing. All I get is a simple Bye Mom and off she goes to class. I do get to see her at snack time.
Hopefully the next 18 days of summer school go this smoothly. I am looking forward to sleeping in late, swimming all day, and having no school starting in July.
