Hold that thought!
Don't kiss us goodbye just yet. I got an offer to work at the school for SUMMER SCHOOL. I wasn't too sure about it. What would the kids do all summer? I felt so bad for the kids when I worked last summer. They did get to go to work with me last summer most of the time so it turned out ok. I told the school the only way I could work is if the kids could go to summer school. They let me know yesterday there was room for them!! Yay, we'll all be together for the summer. The kids are super excited so that's an added bonus. The hours are going to be 8AM to 1PM, Monday through Thursday during the month of June. I get paid to hang out with kids all summer, how cool is that! I'll be working with the same little girl I worked with earlier this year. I'm looking forward to it!
Thursday was the last day of preschool. It was a lot of fun. Sad too in a way. I'm going to miss seeing all these little guys. I have so much fun working at the preschool. It's AMAZING how much a child can grow and learn in one school year. The preschoolers only go to school three days a week for about two and a half hours a day, and in that time they learn so much. Come the end of the year it's awesome to see how grown up they've become.
As always, we had a water party on the last day of school. Every single kid wanted to sit in the TINY pool, at the same time no less. Last year many of them cried and got to cold and it was a very short party. This year was as opposite as they come. No crying, no whining, no fighting. We had a blast and got soaked!
These three people are the coolest, most patient, most generous, most understanding people I know. Their dedication to the kids in special educational is amazing! You can tell they love their job and all the kids they work with. This school year wouldn't have been as great without them. I can't wait to work with you guys again next year. So......Mr. Sullivan, Ms. Olivia, Mr. Ben........HAVE A GREAT SUMMER and we'll see you in August. Thanks for everything!

Arrivederci~Au revoir~Adios......
You can officially kiss the Dozier's GOODBYE! The pool is now open for the summer. 1 week left to go in school and then we'll be poolside from sun up to sun down. We have the grill all ready, our swimsuits unpacked, fully stocked up on SPF and the beach ball blown up.....
We had to test the pool out on Saturday, (Clay even joined in the fun, his SEXY farmers tan made our family pool party complete!) and we're happy to report the water is a cool 70 degrees and ready for splashing in. Swimsuits and sunscreen is all you need. Flip flops and towels are optional!
So when the heat gets you down just think of us lounging around in our pool staying cool (you can even give us a jingle and come swimming if you want to). Long live SUMMER!!

Thanks to everyone for all the birthday cards, comments, calls, messages, gifts, and everything! CLAY made me the most amazing video, I got a great gift card to my very FAVORITE store in the mail from the coolest friend ever, my mom came down and cleaned the house and helped me put up our SUPER huge new pool. I got a SUPER bad SUNBURN in the process (still enjoying that gift thank you very much sun!). Just to name a few, but I LOVED everything from everyone! Sydney ended up getting really bad heat stroke on her field trip so we had to postpone our dinner and birthday shopping until this weekend. As far as birthday's go, it wasn't bad at all. So thanks again to everyone who thought of me. It's nice to know I'm thought of, especially on my birthday.

Who writes this stuff??
I'm not sure how many of you have seen the previews for Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian, but I think every kid at our school has. I have seen the previews and it looks pretty funny. See the Thinker on the right hand side. This statue and his best line have made my life horrible lately. All I know is who ever wrote this famous line soooo does not have kids or work with them all day long!
The preview is of him, (the Thinker) admiring a female statue and he says to her.... blah blah blah, check out the gun show goin on over here. BOOM, BOOM, FIREPOWER! He flexs an arm with each BOOM then points one hand at an angle into the air and says FIREPOWER. He sounds really funny when he says firepower too.
Why would this little scene make my life horrible?? Every kid in our school ONLY knows this line. All day long all I hear is BOOM, BOOM, FIREPOWER! They all have to flex as they say it, of course. So the other day I had lunch duty. Every two seconds a hand would go up and I would hear.... Miss Roxanne, watch this.......BOOM, BOOM, FIREPOWER! Ugggghhhh, finally after the millionth time I told everyone on the count of three to all do it at the same time. Now we're talking firepower! The rest of the week all I heard was, Miss Roxanne, count to three! Oh my goodness I can't wait for summer.

Then I go home to my nice quiet house and want to put my feet up in the silence. The girls are outside jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler on. Then I hear it. BOOM, BOOM, FIREPOWER. I can't ecscape it!!! It's been said if you can't beat them, join them. So, yes, Mommy now shows off her guns and says the dreaded line. Oh, the power of kids.
BOOM, BOOM, FIREPOWER!

Cookout anyone??
Can I just say...........my parents ROCK!!
I was just telling Clay this weekend that I would really like a grill. When we go to our parents house, they always cookout. The food is so good!We have a freezer full of steaks that have never been eaten because they taste so much better on a grill.
To my SURPRISE my parents brought me my birthday present early. A grill, yippee! I'm so excited!! I've already called people to have a cookout on my birthday. Forget a double date, dinner and a movie. COOKOUT, COOKOUT, COOKOUT!!
So between me, my dad and Clay we got the grill all set up and ready to go. It didn't take long. It's the perfect size for our family of four. Now all we need is a gas bottle and a cover to help keep my NEW grill looking pretty! Answer your phones, my grill is calling!!

Fun in the sun, and the blessing of a special little one.
This weekend we went on a ROAD TRIP! We drove to Phoenix to enjoy our family and our friends. What is a trip to Peoria without a visit to Cabela's. The girls just had to pose with every animal they saw. Here is their favorite picture.
Then we went on to Grandma's house where our cousins were waiting for us! The girls had so much fun hanging out with Kelsey and Autumn .
We had a cookout for dinner. It was fun to visit (and stuff our face) with everyone. We were trying to remember when we had seen each other last. I thought it was last February. That's too long if you ask me!
Uncle Colin came over. The kids (and I mean ALL kids) love their Uncle Colin. He loves to play and get rowdy with them. We are going to really MISS him while he is gone serving his country for a year.
Amy and Harrison came too of course! What a great mom Amy is. She seems so calm and so with it. I look back to when my girls were little. The minute they cried I was flustered. Amy never seems to get that way. Baby Harrison is such a sweet baby. They're both so lucky to have one another.
The BOYS. I can't even remember the last time Clay went to Phoenix. It was so fun to have the family together. The only one missing was Tara but hopefully we'll get to see her and her family soon. Colin is so tall, he's grown up a lot from the little boy I first met.
Autumn and Alex. Alex was so excited when she found out Autumn would be wearing glasses. I think that little similarity is going to make them best friends for life. They had such a great time together.
Daddy's girl. Need I say more? Sydney is so much like her dad in every way. It's truly amazing. They were enjoying the GREAT music talents of Uncle Clint.
Daddy and his girls, just hanging out listening to the music. These girls sure love their dad. I know he wouldn't admit it but, Clay has a TON of fun with his girls!
The highlight of the evening. Not only is Clint a great guitar player but MAN can he sing. I got goosebumps when he started to sing. It was amazing! Clint of course was very modest and didn't think much of it but he blew us away!
The siblings. We missed you Tara! Colin being goofy as ever. The little brother is the tallest, and man is he tall!
Uncle Colin and his sweet son Harrison. Not only does Harrison have an excellent Mother but he was very blessed to get a great father as well. What a special little family!
You know me and babies. I have to hold them! I was very good this time, I wasn't a baby hog at all. Don't get me wrong, I would have loved to hold him the whole time. I'm just glad we got to see him. What an excellent baby!
Alex was good too! She loved holding Harrison but she also had some fun cousins to play with. She shared the baby a lot more than usual this time.
Then on Sunday Harrison was blessed. He was blessed by his dad Colin. Lots of family and friends came out to show their love and support. I love to get together as a family. When we do, you know there is going to be lots of pictures. You can definitely tell it is springtime!
Our little family. I love family pictures! Clay is so handsome, the girls are so sweet and cute, and I'm........ well I'm me!
Daddy and his two favorite girls (his number 1 girl is behind the camera!). Clay hates taking pictures. Anytime I can get him to take a picture is a treat!
The growing Dozier family! What a great family. We love you guys!
All the friends and family who stuck around in the heat to take what seemed like endless pictures!
Mom and the siblings, once again, we missed you Tara! Man, Colin is sooooooo tall!
After the blessing there was a family luncheon. We decided to skip that and head home. I heard there was a ton of YUMMY food. Bummer we missed it. We went by a friends house and dropped off a gift for their baby girl that arrives in July. We ended up not getting home until 9 PM. We were all walking around like zombies at school the next morning. The trip was well worth it though! We had a great time, we loved seeing our family, and we can't wait to do it all over again in a few weeks when Grandma comes. See you all then!!

Picture tag
I don't know how many of you feel this way but I actually like tags. Occasionally I run out of fun and interesting things to blog about so a random tag always helps! So, thanks Linda! Here is what is in my fourth folder and is the fourth picture.
Uncle Will and the girls! Look how small my little Punkin Alex is, I can't believe she'll be seven this year! I think she was three here. That means Sydney was five years old. Awwww, how I miss those days. Look at Uncle Will. He still looks the same and is as cool as ever. We love ya Will (James too!)

Two nights in a row!
As I predicted, Alex lost another tooth. Yesterday morning before school I got out the floss and out her tooth popped. She didn't feel it at all. She kept asking me if I was done. I just laughed and told her it was already out. She ran and put it in her tooth fairy pillow. Perfect timing, since she was seeing the dentist at school yesterday (both girls have ZERO cavities!) A number of kids got their loose teeth pulled so I was glad Alex didn't have to go through that. It's bad enough when moms helps the tooth come out. This morning she woke up to all the riches a tooth can give you. She got five dollars for this tooth. Man, our poor tooth fairy is going to go broke! If Alex keeps losing teeth the tooth fairy will be next in line for a bailout! I checked both girls teeth this morning and no loose ones to report. Thank goodness for that huh tooth fairy!
